Data controller

The controller of your personal data is the business named in the imprint. For any question about your data, write to the e-mail address given there.

What data we process

WhatsApp: tapping the button opens WhatsApp with a pre-written message (boat, route, extras). You send it from your own account and WhatsApp's (Meta's) terms apply. We see your name, number and the message.

Enquiry form: name, e-mail, preferred date, boat, number of people and your message. The form is delivered through our hosting (Netlify) to our e-mail.

Technical logs: the server (Netlify) briefly records the IP address and requested pages for security and debugging.

Visit statistics: we count visits anonymously, without cookies and without fingerprinting (Plausible or a similar tool). We see how many people viewed which page and how many tapped WhatsApp, not who they are.

Images: until our own photos arrive, images load from Unsplash, so your browser sends that service your IP address, as with any image on the web.

Why, and on what basis

We use the data in your message or enquiry only to reply and arrange the rental (steps prior to a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Technical logs and anonymous statistics rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and knowing what guests use (Art. 6(1)(f)). Nothing is used for marketing or sold to anyone.

Who else sees the data

Netlify (hosting and form, EU/US, under standard contractual clauses), Meta (WhatsApp, if you write to us that way) and Unsplash (images, temporarily). Wind and temperatures come from DHMZ (Malinska station), wave height from Open-Meteo, without any of your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and messages are kept until the rental is agreed or declined, then deleted. If a rental happens, the data needed for the invoice is kept as long as accounting law requires. Netlify's technical logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

Cookies

The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no consent banner either. The only thing your browser stores is what is technically necessary to display the page.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, have it corrected, deleted or restricted, and object to processing. Write to the e-mail in the imprint; we reply within the legal deadline. If you think we are getting something wrong, you can contact the Croatian data protection authority (azop.hr).
